The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities in the overseas market and operating in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. The company considered North America as a growth market for Washlet's bidets and toilets, as opposed to its "base" markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words to ensure that the future generation could understand the words. Many words were replaced with foreign words. For example, dui, which is Bengali for verandah, was used.
Origins
The company was founded in 1917 and its early years mirrored Japan's economic development. In the first half, Toto produced goods to meet the demand for modern, brand new urban housing. To accomplish this, it employed the country's first tunnel kiln to make ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered the use of automation to control production, which allows for more efficiency and consistency.
In the late 1980s, the company began expanding overseas to profit from sales and new markets. The company founded the Cera Trading Company to import and distribute other products of other manufacturers to complement its own line of sanitary earthenwares and plumbing fittings. This strategy boosted sales and increased the firm's global market share.
In the 1990s Toto began to focus on research and development of water-related appliances. It also redesigned its system of distribution to better serve customers and improve profit. The company also employed the just-in time approach in its supply chain management and sales program. This led to a higher level of satisfaction of customers.
Toto continues to invent in the toilet technology. Its latest toilet has a strong, eco-friendly tornado flush. The company also makes use of recycled water in its production process and has a green purchasing policy. Apart from toilets, Toto manufactures bathtubs and faucets and hand dryers that are more energy efficient than standard models.
The company's first museum opened in 2015 and features exhibits about Toto's iconic products and their development and its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) and the history of plumbing and other products like bath units and, in a different gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum also has a bathroom that includes a WASHLET toilet and other toilet-related innovations.
Before the formation of Toto the members of the band did sessions for various musicians. Boz Scaggs album Silk Degrees featured keyboardist David Paich as well as guitarists Mike Porcaro & Steve Lukather as well as drummers Jeff Porcaro & Steve Lukather. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
It is common for a group with a name like Asia to be a prog rock group however, it's actually a pretty straightforward rock band. The band was initially four members and released two albums in 1979, the self-titled debut album and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The band has a varied musical background, but their biggest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster, but not without problems. Record companies placed the band on the spot with the ultimatum "give us an album that's a smash or we'll take you off the market" and the pressure was on them to give it. Luckily for Toto they did with the aid of the smash single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their previous experiences, as the band members had been session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts before starting the group. Their distinctive sound has become the standard for 1980s music, and has inspired a lot of contemporary artists.
This album starts off hard with tracks like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write amazing AOR songs that slowly work their hooks into you. The album also includes some slow, jazzier tracks like The Little Things and Chinatown. 토토사이트 꽁머니 concludes with Great Expectations. This song is a mix of folk and distortion AOR that could appear completely unnatural, but actually works extremely well.
After Toto IV, the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career and the band had to go through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the group due to drug charges. The band remained with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.
Toto released Isolation despite the turmoil. It wasn't as popular as IV. However, the band managed to release another chart-topping album in the year 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Line-up
Turn Back, the band's third studio album, was an attempt to return to the classic sextet structure and a more consistent, stronger effort that had a more grittier edge. Its edgier sound was indicative of the maturation of group and featured drummer Bobby Kimball's improved ability on the drums and a more mature, confident vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was as well more refined, more precise and less akin to previous recordings.
After touring to promote the album, the group recorded a live performance in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. A new studio album was released just a few months later and the group went on an extensive world tour in support of it. In this time keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.

In 1998, Paich & Lukather began looking through old tapes and demos to find songs that had never been recorded before. It was completed as a double-album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the band's first album that did not contain one single track titled "A". The album also included a previously unreleased track called "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New was an uncommercial success and vocalist Williams was suffering from laryngitis, which affected his singing abilities. Hungate also returned to Nashville and Leland Sklar's drumming was replaced by Shem Von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia, met in England early in 2006 to discuss the possibility that the band could be revived. The group, which was missing Howe who was busy with Yes at the period, was later renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The band featured a special guest appearance from singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
